Access 2 for 1 Entry to 400+ UK Gardens (including Alnwick Garden) with the May Issue of Gardeners' World Magazine

Many thanks to a lovely reader Pam who messaged me about this deal. If you buy this month's (May) Gardeners' World magazine (£6.50 in M&S for a special value pack), you'll find a FREE 2 for 1 garden card inside which is valid for a full year and could save you quite a bit of cash.

If you buy your magazine at M&S, there are extra treats inside including 6 packets of seeds worth over £18 and a pair of gardening gloves too so £6.50 seems like a pretty good deal to me.

The card is just a cut-out piece of strong paper inside the cover of a booklet detailing all of the different venues taking part in the deal. The card is valid until 12 April 2019 and can be used as many times as you like - you simply present the card on arrival.

If you're single, many of the properties offer a single person discount with the card too. Check out the booklet for details.

The card is valid at 424 gardens across the UK including Kew Gardens, Abbeywood, Lowther Castle, Mount Grace Priory and the Japanese garden at Cowden.

There are 43 gardens to explore across Northern England. You can find the full list and restrictions at gardenersworld.com/gardens. Highlights for me include:

  • Alnwick Garden (excludes 21 July - 3 September)
  • Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens (excludes event days and school holidays)
  • Birkheads Secret Gardens (excludes weekends and bank holidays)
  • Bolton Castle & Gardens
  • Brodsworth Hall & Gardens (excludes event days and school holidays)
  • Crook Hall & Gardens (excludes Christmas, Halloween and theatre)
  • Harewood House Gardens (excludes bank holidays and event days)
  • Lowther Castle & Gardens
  • Mount Grace Priory, House & Gardens (excludes event days and school holidays)
  • Newby Hall Gardens (excludes event days)
  • Yorkshire Arboretum (excludes charity days and October)
These are just my highlights! There are 400+ gardens to choose from and you can visit multiple times. Regular admission to Alnwick Garden is £13.50 so if you visit here just once, you've already made a saving.

I love a good potter around a garden and have a feeling our card will be getting lots of use when the kids are at school and I'm looking for some peace and quiet.

Let me know if you're going to take advantage of this deal too.
